We had a stretch of hot weather in April — temperatures in the mid-90s in the San Jose area… and even in San Francisco! That made the coast an extra nice, cool, beautiful getaway. I’d never been to Fitzgerald Marine Reserve before — it’s a lovely stretch of beach and rocky tidal pool along the San Mateo coast. Moss Beach is a perfect half-moon of soft sand, and when the tide is low there are lots of rocky nooks and crannies filled with crabs and sea stars — so cool! It was the perfect place for a family outing with this fun, sweet family.
